Royal Recognition: Scamp & Yoyo Honoured with Prestigious PDSA Medals

Stu Phillips K9 is proud to announce that two of our exceptional detection dogs, Scamp and Yoyo, have been awarded prestigious medals by the British Royal Family and the PDSA—an honour reserved for only the very best.

Throughout their careers, Scamp and Yoyo have played a vital role in disrupting serious and organised crime, using their exceptional detection skills to uncover vast quantities of illegal tobacco and illicit cash. Between them, they carried out over 6,000 searches, detecting more than £30 million worth of illegal tobacco and over £4 million in criminal cash. Their work directly supported law enforcement agencies, leading to major seizures, dismantling criminal networks, and preventing illicit goods from reaching the streets.

To mark their incredible achievements, Scamp and Yoyo were invited to the historic Tower of London to receive their medals. This prestigious ceremony, set against one of the UK's most iconic landmarks, highlighted the significance of their contribution to law enforcement and the fight against organised crime.

The PDSA (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) awards these medals to animals that have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service. Being recognised by the Royal Family further cements the vital role of detection dogs in protecting society.
