Advanced Detection Dog Workshop


5 days

Where & When:

Monday 17th - Friday 21st June 2019 in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

This five day course is aimed at dog teams operating at an intermediate level. Dogs attending the course must be to find their target odour and give an indication. Dogs must be confident in operating and searching a variety of live venues and environments.

Workshop content to include:

  • Scent imprinting
  • Contamination
  • Indications, behaviour change and correcting false indications
  • System of search, search patterns and awareness
  • Handling and searching in live, busy venues and environments

Day 1: 9.30am start with the whole day spent at our training venue at Haverfordwest Show Ground.

Days 2 - 5: Days start at 9.30am with different live venues and environments used.


Stuart Phillips, who has over 20 years operational experience as a dog handler and trainer.

Kat Janczur, who is a trainer, behaviour specialist and expert at developing puppies to become working dogs.
